Chef de Parties Location: South Townsville QLD 4810Employment Type: Full TimeSalary: AUD 78,000 – 80,000Harbourfront Hotel sits right on the waterfront, and the food matches the view. We have great food, Cold drinks and Townsville’s best water views.Harbourfront Hotel has vacancy openings for Chef de Parties. We are looking for a qualified and experienced candidates to join our team. The suitable person must be qualified and must have experience serving a full range of foods. Major Duties:· Prepare full range of foods including breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a bar menu and pizza, and pasta.· Ensure the production of all food is prepared according to a 5-star standard.· Prepare, serve and store food items in regards to the requirements of our Kitchen.· Ensure all our policies and procedures, health and hygiene requirements are adhered to.· Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships with all members in the Kitchen.· Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to system improvements.· Assist Head Chef with planning and changing menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.· Maintain excellent presentation standards.· Check function sheets and daily menus and initiate requisitions of all foodstuffs and dry goods based on functions, climate, menus and forecast.· Ordering stock in the absence of the Head Chef.· To liaise with wait staff regarding meal completion and instructions on its service, presentation, portion control and complaints/compliments.· Be innovative and creative and keep up to date with current trends.· The ability to work a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and evenings.· A willingness to work split shifts.· Ability to work well with others and do what is required to ensure smooth operations at our Kitchen.· Capacity to work across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts, including on weekends.· Liaise, supervise, train and work with cooks and to assist them to ensure safe and efficient production of food, while maintaining all statutory requirements.· To maintain hygiene to HACCP guidelines, health and safety, cleanliness and all environmental standards in the kitchen department.· To behave in a manner appropriate to your standing within the business. Qualifications: · AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent of 3 years of work experiences as a Chef. Main Skills and Experience: · Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in similar capacity.· Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.· Leadership and time management skills.· Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.· Attention to details.· Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.· Strong work ethics.· Ability to work under pressure.· Experience in similar role.Pay: $78,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:
