Senior Solution Architect

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design and deliver technical solutions for a multi-year Enterprise Infrastructure Transformation; 482 Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate. This role focuses on the practical application of Hybrid Cloud strategies, moving workloads from legacy on-premises environments into a Secure Azure/AWS ecosystem. You will be the primary architect responsible for detailed design documents, migration patterns, and ensuring technical alignment across engineering teams.
📋 Core Responsibilities

• Solution Design: Develop high-level (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD) for Azure/AWS Landing Zones, focusing on networking, identity, and security.
• Migration Execution: Define the "6 Rs" migration strategy for specific business applications, moving them from physical Data Centres to Cloud/SaaS.
• Technical Implementation: Work "hand-in-glove" with DevOps and Engineering teams to ensure Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates (Terraform/Bicep) align with the architectural vision.
• Security Alignment: Implement Essential Eight and Zero Trust principles within the solution design, specifically around Entra ID and network micro-segmentation.
• Connectivity: Design hybrid connectivity solutions, including SD-WAN, ExpressRoute, and Client VPN architectures.
• Post-Migration Validation: Ensure migrated workloads meet performance, cost (FinOps), and resiliency requirements before final hand-over.

• ✅ Technical Requirements
  • Cloud Architecture: 8+ years in IT, with 3+ years of dedicated Azure or AWS Solutions Architecture (AZ-305 / AWS Associate or Pro).
  • Hybrid Infrastructure: Strong background in VMware (vSphere), Nutanix, or Windows/Linux Server environments.
  • Data Centre Knowledge: Practical experience with Enterprise Storage (NetApp/Dell/Pure) and high-availability networking (Cisco/Palo Alto).
  • Automation: Solid understanding of Terraform or Bicep—you should be able to read and review the code being deployed.
  • Frameworks: Familiarity with TOGAF and Australian Government/Resource sector compliance.
