Job DescriptionAs a Practice Nurse, you will provide essential clinical support in general practice clinics, assisting GPs in delivering primary healthcare, chronic disease management, and preventative care. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day clinical care in GP clinicsConduct patient assessments, including vitals, symptoms, and triageSupport GPs during consultations and treatmentsManage chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertensionPerform clinical procedures including wound care, dressings, injections, and vaccinationsSupport cervical screening and immunisation programmesProvide patient education on health conditions, medications, and wellbeingSupport preventative health initiatives (e.g., smoking cessation, wellness checks)Maintain accurate clinical records in patient management systemsWork collaboratively with doctors, practice managers, and allied health staffSupport Māori, Pacific, and community health equity initiatives Requirements EssentialRegistered Nurse qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent)Current NZ Nursing Council registration and APCStrong clinical assessment and communication skillsAbility to work independently in a GP clinic settingCultural competency and patient-focused care approach PreferredExperience in primary care or hospital nursingSkills in wound care, vaccinations, and chronic disease managementFamiliarity with clinical systems (e.g., Medtech, Indici) BenefitsWork with New Zealand’s largest primary healthcare networkStable community-based nursing roleExposure to diverse patient populations and conditionsOpportunities for professional development in primary care nursingPay: From $6,200.00 per monthBenefits:
