Job OverviewWe are looking for a self-motivated, organised, and hands-on Night Shift Quality Manager to join our team.You will be the lead technical contact within one of our factories, supported by QA/QC and Hygiene teams. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of quality, food safety, and legality, ensuring full compliance with customer standards, BRC requirements, and regulatory expectations.You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement, working closely with Operations and Engineering teams to identify issues, implement solutions, and embed a strong quality culture across site. Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain food safety systems in line with BRC and retailer codes of practice
  • Lead and coordinate the Quality Control function
  • Oversee product, raw material, and environmental testing programmes
  • Conduct regular hygiene inspections across production areas, ensuring standards are consistently met and improved
  • Maintain high factory standards through auditing and compliance activities
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, including root cause analysis
  • Manage traceability systems and conduct traceability exercises
  • Lead, coach, and develop the technical team

Experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a Quality function in food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC standards, Retailer codes of practice & Food law and compliance
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability
  • Ability to influence, challenge and drive change
  • Experience managing customer and regulatory relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Desirable
  • Experience in bakery or similar food production environments
  • Knowledge of production technology
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Experience with pest control systems
  • Level 3 (or above) in Food Safety in Manufacturing and HACCP

Pay: £17.00-£22.00 per hourBenefits:
