Retail Assistant Mitre 10 New Zealand | Hardware, Garden & Trade Departments Help Kiwis Build, Fix & CreateMitre 10 is looking for enthusiastic Retail Assistants to join its busy store teams across hardware, garden, paint, plumbing, electrical, and tools departments. This is a customer-focused role where you’ll help DIYers and tradies find the right products for their projects. What You'll Do?Help customers choose the right products for DIY and trade projects.Provide advice across hardware, garden, paint, plumbing, and tools ranges.Support customers from enquiry through to purchase.Operate checkout and POS systems when required.Restock shelves and maintain accurate pricing and displays.Keep departments clean, safe, and well-organised.Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and merchandising.Support trade customers with bulk orders.Help drive sales and deliver great in-store experiences. What We're Looking For:Strong customer service and communication skills.Willingness to learn (product training provided).Interest in DIY, tools, gardening, or building materials is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.Basic computer or POS system skills.Physically fit for lifting and stock handling.Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
