Job description
We are seeking an experienced Flooring Installer to join our team in Townsville QLD. This role involves installing LVT, SPC, carpet, and vinyl sheet flooring across residential and commercial projects. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.Minimum 3-5 years of flooring installation experience is required for this position.Key Responsibilities:
- Install flooring materials including LVT, SPC, carpet, and vinyl sheet flooring
- Prepare subfloors through grinding, patching, levelling, and moisture testing
- Measure, mark, and cut flooring materials accurately to fit installation areas
- Remove existing flooring and prepare surfaces for new installations
- Apply adhesives, underlays, and installation products according to manufacturer specifications
- Ensure all flooring installations are completed to a high professional standard
- Conduct finishing work including trims, joins, edging, and detailing
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction
- Safely operate and maintain flooring tools, machinery, and equipment
- Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment onsite and in vehicles
- Communicate effectively with clients, builders, supervisors, and team members
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and scheduling requirements
- Assist with site assessments, measurements, and planning before installations
