Company Introduction We are a professional Chinese automotive manufacturer building a new after-sales service station in Utrecht. We focus on passenger vehicles, commercial buses and new energy buses, providing official maintenance, warranty support and fleet aftersales service for the European market. We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead our local technical team.
Job Summary As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overall workshop technical management, maintenance quality control, bus technical troubleshooting, team management and local compliance. You ensure all workshop operations fully comply with Dutch RDW regulations, BOVAG standards and EU automotive requirements. This position is essential for stable station operation and long-term business development in the Benelux region.
Key Responsibilities • Establish and optimize workshop technical systems, ensure full compliance with RDW, EU regulations and GDPR guidelines. • Oversee all vehicle maintenance work, perform technical audits and final quality inspections, especially for large buses and new energy vehicles. • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and electronic failures; solve difficult technical issues of bus powertrain, braking, suspension and ECU systems. • Develop bus-specific maintenance procedures, manage heavy-duty workshop equipment and ensure all tools meet CE certification requirements. • Lead the technical team, arrange staff training and complete mandatory 40-hour annual RDW/BOVAG technical training. • Control spare parts quality, ensure all components comply with EU ECE and OEM standards. • Maintain complete technical records, maintenance logs and hazardous waste documents for official audits. • Cooperate with internal departments and provide professional technical support for fleet customers and bus operators. • Keep updated with European automotive laws, new energy bus technology and industry standards.
Requirements & Qualifications • Hold MBO-4 Automotive Technology diploma or equivalent EU qualification (Nuffic certification for non-EU certificates). • Possess RDW recognized advanced automotive technical certificate; APK certification is highly preferred. • Minimum 5 years automotive maintenance experience, with at least 2 years technical management experience. • Mandatory bus/coach maintenance experience; new energy bus experience is a strong plus. • Familiar with Dutch local workshop rules, RDW inspection standards and hazardous waste management. • Proficient in vehicle diagnostic equipment, bus heavy-duty tools and workshop calibration procedures. • Language: Dutch B1 or above; English B1 or above. • Valid EU work permit or eligible for Dutch highly skilled migrant visa. • Strong troubleshooting ability, team management skills and quality control awareness. • No major maintenance accident records; strictly comply with local labor and safety regulations.
