The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and integrating hotel IT systems, AI‑enabled applications and digital platforms that underpin guest services and internal operations across the hotel. Responsibilities
- Support, monitor and maintain hotel booking, property management and related hospitality IT systems, ensuring high availability and reliable day‑to‑day operation for reception, housekeeping, maintenance and management teams.
- Troubleshoot, restore and upgrade existing hotel IT systems, web applications and integrations, resolving incidents and minimising downtime across guest‑facing and back‑office services.
- Implement, monitor and optimise cloud‑based infrastructure used by the company’s hotel operations platforms, ensuring performance, scalability and resilience for multi‑property and chain management.
- Monitor system performance, application logs and operational dashboards, identifying trends, bottlenecks and incidents, and implementing corrective actions to maintain service quality.
- Collaborate with hotel operations teams to analyse business and user requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and define system functionality that supports guest services and internal workflows.
- Assist in the configuration, integration and support of AI‑powered features such as chatbots, voice‑to‑text reporting and intelligent workflow tools that streamline guest requests, housekeeping schedules and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with information security, GDPR and hospitality industry standards by implementing secure authentication, role‑based access control, data encryption and appropriate access management across systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system workflows and specification documents to support operational feasibility, audits and ongoing improvements in hotel IT operations.
- Test and examine changes to code, configurations and integrations prior to deployment, analysing results and working with developers and stakeholders to ensure stable releases into the production hotel environment.
- Work closely with developers, third‑party vendors and internal IT staff to coordinate releases, manage change and align system updates with hotel operational requirements and busy trading periods.
- Fulfil project plans and industry standards by supporting the delivery of digital transformation initiatives across the hotel, including automation of workflows and expansion of the company’s smart property and hotel operations platforms.
Skills Required
- Technical expertise in IT operations, cloud‑based deployments and DevOps practices, particularly in the context of hospitality and property management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues across applications, integrations, networks and cloud services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with hotel operations teams, management, developers and third‑party providers.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, and experience in managing cloud‑hosted web applications and infrastructure supporting hotel and property operations.
- Familiarity with security and GDPR best practices and the ability to implement security measures, access controls and data protection within hotel IT systems.
- Strong knowledge of full‑stack web application environments, REST APIs and microservices, and how these underpin AI‑enhanced hotel operations platforms and dashboards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes, and their use in automating build, test and deployment processes.
- Experience working with hospitality IT systems, workflow automation and operational dashboards, and an understanding of hotel processes including guest services, housekeeping and maintenance.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent level of professional experience in IT operations and software engineering.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable, reflecting the advanced level of technical and analytical skills required for managing the Company’s hotel IT and digital operations.
