The Role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is delighted to offer an opportunity for a Community Staff Nurse to join our District Nursing teams within Primary Care Services. This is a rewarding role where you will deliver highquality, personcentred nursing care to patients in their own homes and community settings. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, caring for individuals with complex and longterm needs. You need to have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post.

All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

  • You will be based at Possilpark Health & Care Centre
  • Part-time, permanent
  • Working between Monday and Sunday, fully flexible
  • Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care in partnership with patients, families and carers
  • Deliver skilled nursing interventions to patients with complex and long-term conditions in the community
  • Manage and prioritise own workload effectively to respond to planned and unplanned care needs
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
  • Provide clinical leadership and act as a role model for junior staff and students
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and multi-agency colleagues to coordinate care and support discharge planning
  • Promote patient safety and well-being through effective risk assessment, incident reporting, and adherence to policies

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Relevant post-registration experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to lifelong learning
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously within a community setting
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Experience of delivering person-centred care to patients with complex needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team with a flexible and problem-solving approach
