- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within complex systems and processes.
- Design, develop, and review technical schematics using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAD software.
- Utilise programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB for system modelling, automation, and data analysis.
- Develop system designs incorporating GD&T principles to ensure precision and functionality.
- Manage projects effectively, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks to meet deadlines.
- Apply systems engineering principles to integrate mechanical components with electronic controls such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform laboratory experiments and tests to validate system performance and reliability.
- Analyse data collected from experiments to inform design improvements or troubleshooting efforts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on construction, prototype development, and system optimisation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in root cause analysis, systems engineering, and project management.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and general schematics development.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, MATLAB; experience with PLC programming is desirable.
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles, GD&T standards, and construction practices.
- Ability to interpret mathematical data and perform complex data analysis tasks.
- Laboratory experience with hands-on testing of mechanical or electronic systems preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong organisational abilities.
