- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders
- Provide guidance to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and placing orders for replenishment
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Administer medications under supervision where applicable, ensuring proper documentation and patient care standards are met
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans and medication adherence
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and record keeping requirements is desirable
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role
