IT Support Specialist Transpower New Zealand Support the Technology Behind NZ's National GridTranspower is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support and maintain critical IT systems that help power New Zealand. This role is ideal for a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting users, and working within a large enterprise environment. What You'll Do?Provide first and second-level IT support to employees.Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.Support Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.Install, maintain, and upgrade operating systems and software.Log and track incidents through the IT service management system.Support cybersecurity initiatives and security best practices.Assist remote users and field-based teams across New Zealand.Create technical documentation and user guides.Escalate complex issues to infrastructure or cybersecurity teams.Contribute to IT projects, upgrades, and technology rollouts. What We're Looking For:Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience in IT Support, Service Desk, or Desktop Support roles.Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD is advantageous.Knowledge of ITIL practices and enterprise environments is a plus.Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certifications, or ITIL Foundation are desirable.
