We are seeking a physician leader to serve as a Co-Medical Director for our hospital medicine program at Community Regional Medical Center. - Partner with the Co-Medical Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for a team of 50 physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers at Community Regional Medical Center.
- Collaborate with hospital executives, physician leaders, and service line partners to advance organizational goals and initiatives.
- Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the hospital medicine program.
- Drive efforts focused on quality improvement, patient experience, operational excellence, and physician engagement.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture among physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Support the recruitment, retention, development, and engagement of hospital medicine providers.
- Champion best practices, clinical excellence, and continuous program improvement.
- Community Medical Centers is affiliated with UCSF Fresno, which offers training to residents and fellows.
- Community Regional Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Prior hospital medicine leadership experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive quality outcomes.
- Must live within the Community
- H1B visa sponsorship available with dedicated in-house visa, licensing, and credentialing support.
Scheduling:
- Work in collaboration with your Co-Medical Director working 7 clinical shifts each month.
- Administrative time is spent at the hospital Monday-Friday two of the remaining three weeks of the month.
- This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Co-Medical Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital medicine program.
- Work alongside hospital executives and service line leaders to drive organizational initiatives and achieve hospital goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professional development, and clinical excellence.
- Lead performance improvement efforts focused on length of stay, readmissions, patient safety, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the hospital medicine program on committees and interdisciplinary leadership teams.
- Maintain an active clinical role caring for hospitalized patients.
- Closed ICU environment.
- Procedures are not required.
- Utilize Epic EMR.
