Location: Harrisburg, PA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 40% onsite / 60% remote

Schedule: 8 hrs/day, 5 days/wk

Interview: Virtual

Contract: 07/01/2026 - 06/30/2027. Historically, these roles are extended for an additional year.

Visas Accepted: USC, GC, GC EAD, H1B

Role Overview

The PA PUC is seeking an experienced IT Contractor with a minimum of 2 years' experience performing technical work in information technology security and support fields. This is a cross-team position to fulfill duties within security and help desk teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide general technology support.
  • Respond to and implement support tickets.
  • Assist documenting and managing incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Perform network monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and policies.
  • Work collaboratively between teams.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Technical Skills

  • Experience in information security related support
  • Experience in helpdesk related support
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to collaborate with peers, between teams, and stakeholders
  • Experience with Microsoft server and workstation operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 products
  • Experience with incident reporting and support ticketing systems
  • Experience with network and computer security testing tools
  • Experience reading and interpreting security logs and reports
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices of information security
  • Knowledge of business process analysis methods
  • Responds promptly to technical, system and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as needed
  • Perform related work as required
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Stays up to date with cybersecurity trends and risks
  • Experience working with Tenable and Splunk
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and technologies
