Residential Care Officer (Full-Time)

We empower participants to achieveindependence, dignity, and improved quality of life through compassionate and professionalcare.We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join ourgrowing team in Mareeba, Queensland and in Sydney NSW.This is an excellent opportunity for anexperienced care professional looking to build a rewarding career in Australia.Key Responsibilities● Provide high-quality, person-centered support to NDIS participants in residential andsupported accommodation settings.● Assist participants with activities of daily living, including personal care, grooming,dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.● Promote participants; independence, dignity, and social inclusion.● Develop positive relationships with participants, families, guardians, and allied healthprofessionals.● Support participants in achieving goals outlined in their individual support plans.● Administer or assist with medication in accordance with organisational policies andtraining.● Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and progress notes.● Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies, andworkplace health and safety requirements.● Respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioural support needs.● Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.Essential Requirements● Completed at least a Diploma OR an overseas bachelor degree preferably inNursing, OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formalqualifications● Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in disability support, residential care,or community services.● Willing to relocate to Mareeba QLD 4880● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.● Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, sleepovers, public holidays, andovernight shifts.● Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.● Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).● Good character – required to submit Police Clearance Certificate● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Desirable● Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours, psychosocial disability, orhigh-intensity support needs.● Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Positive Behaviour Support.● Medication competency and manual handling training.What We Offer● Competitive salary of AUD $80,000 per annum plus Superannuation.● Full-time permanent employment (38 hours per week).● Visa sponsorship available for suitably qualified international candidates.● Supportive and inclusive workplace culture.● Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.● Career progression within a growing organisation.● Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with disability.How to ApplyTo apply, please submit:● Your current resume (CV)● A cover letter outlining your suitability for the role● Copies of relevant qualifications and licencesOnly shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
