- Assisting with crop irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution and plant health
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge
- Operating horticultural tools for planting, pruning, and harvesting crops
- Managing animal care routines including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring of livestock
- Conducting equipment inspections and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Supporting the installation and upkeep of irrigation systems and other infrastructure
- Assisting with general farm maintenance tasks such as fencing repairs, building upkeep, and landscape management
- Handling heavy lifting of supplies, feed, or equipment safely and efficiently
- Applying basic maths skills for inventory management, measurements, and record keeping
Experience
- Previous experience working on farms or dairies is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, or animal husbandry is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair will be considered a strong asset
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and long hours of manual work in outdoor conditions
- Basic understanding of maths for operational tasks such as measurements and inventory control
