Job Summary As a General Practitioner (GP) employed through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) within a Primary Care Network (PCN), you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care while working as part of a multidisciplinary team, with flexibility to work up to 37.5 hours per week. You will manage a range of acute and chronic conditions, participate in health promotion and contribute to team-based care plans, with appropriate supervision. The post encourages professional growth through regular feedback, mentoring and opportunities for further training in line with early-career development. LPC are a Tier 2 Visa Sponsor and welcome appropriate applications Our PCNs and practice teams have a positive and supportive working relationship, and this role is an opportunity to enhance PCN services further and would be integral to the PCN for fulfilling DES responsibilities. Main responsibilities The GP will undertake a variety of duties governed by the GMS contract and objectives of Enhanced services. including:
Wider Responsibilities · Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation · Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness · Cover all the clinical management of the patients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers as appropriate · Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols as well wider guidance such as that from NICE · Ensure appropriate follow up of patients · Record clear and contemporaneous computerised consultation notes to agreed standards · Participate in clinical audits, and learning event analyses and practice meetings · Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions avoiding hand-written prescriptions. · Prescribe generically whenever appropriately and in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary, NICE guidance and Good Prescribing Practice (as defined by British National Formulary guidance) · Work with and provide support for other members of the primary health care team · Play a lead role in the practice achieving agreed and other key performance indicator targets Person Spec Essential Qualifications

- Qualified GP with full GMC registration licence to practice, on a performers list
Desirable Experience
- Experience of working in a GP practice using EMIS
- General understanding of the primary care contract
