SUMMARYReporting to the Housing Manager, the Housing Worker will help assist with the day-to-day cleaning, groundskeeping and general light maintenance duties within the Hotel’s staff accommodation buildings. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

SUMMARYReporting to the Housing Manager, the Housing Worker will help assist with the day-to-day cleaning, groundskeeping and general light maintenance duties within the Hotel’s staff accommodation buildings. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly tasks including boiler checks etc.
- Prepare Arrivals & Departures as per housing standards.
- Inspect vacant rooms for cleanliness, maintenance etc.
- Maintain landscaping and grounds on property (mow lawn, trim edges, clear snow etc)
- Maintain all buildings for repair or paint.
- Communicate housing notices to all employees according to Residential Tenancy Act.
- As needed, help the Housing Manager conduct weekly inspections of housing units for needed services, cleanliness and repairs.
- Abide the policies and procedures mandated by the Residential Tenancy Act.
- Use both power and hand tools in a safe, efficient manner.
- Cleanliness of all laundry rooms and work spaces (sweep, mop, lint trap clean, etc)
- Conduct final inspections of employee’s room and apartment at time of departure or arrival.
- Inspect fire protection systems and equipment.
- Perform other duties as required by the Housing Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong mechanical ability
- Ability to multi task
- Previous building maintenance or housekeeping experience an asset
- Must be able to lift and carry 50-75 lbs
- Continuous handling, gripping and reaching
- Continuous walking, sitting and standing throughout a shift
- Lifting of heavy materials, climbing, crawling, kneeling and bending throughout a shift
- Ability to work safely in unsupervised environment
