Aston University is building a bold, data-led approach to alumni relations and philanthropy. We are seeking an outstanding Development Services Manager to lead this transformation—shaping how insight drives decision-making, performance, and long-term impact.
This is a pivotal leadership role within Alumni Relations & Development (ARD), responsible for delivering a high-performing Development Services function that enables fundraising success and strategic growth across the University.
The Role:
You will lead a team delivering analytics, systems and operational excellence—ensuring data and insight actively shape outcomes.
You will: Drive a data-led culture, enabling confident, informed decision-making Lead analytics, reporting and modelling to identify opportunity and manage risk Oversee CRM, data quality and process improvement Deliver prospect research and pipeline insight Present clear, compelling insight to senior stakeholders Ensure robust governance and compliance Build strong partnerships across the University
About you:
You will combine analytical expertise, leadership capability and strong judgement, with a track record of turning data into impact.
You will bring: Experience with CRM systems and large datasets Proven ability to use insight to influence decisions and outcomes Experience of prospect research or modelling A strong track record of leading and developing others Confidence communicating complex information to senior audiences The ability to work effectively within governance and regulatory frameworks
