Private Patients Digital Communications Officer Closing date: 06 May 2026. As the Private Patients Digital Communications Officer, you will manage the Trust's private patients website and social media channels. You will report to the Director of Private Patients with professional accountability to the senior communications manager in the corporate communications team.Job responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver website content for the Trust Plus website, ensuring it is accurate, engaging, accessible and SEO‑optimised.
  • Manage and update private patient web pages.
  • Plan, schedule, moderate and engage on private patient social media channels.
  • Track effectiveness and performance of social media against key performance indicators.
  • Support online patient engagement, including private healthcare review platforms.
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate digital marketing campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels (website, email, social media); support development of campaign briefs, messaging and content in line with brand guidelines.
  • Work with clinical and Trust Plus colleagues to identify priority services and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure consistency of message across digital channels including website, social media, intranet and other online tools.
  • Report on social media activity outcomes and paid activity, and use insights to improve future content.
  • Ensure all social media and digital assets comply with Trust and NHS identity, NHS Accessible Information Standard.

Person specification Essential
  • Degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience in communications and social media.
  • Experience in a social media role in a similar organisation.
  • Experience managing websites and Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Experience delivering digital marketing campaigns.

Desirable
  • Understanding of ASA regulations.
  • Experience commissioning high‑quality social media materials and managing external contractors.

Knowledge Essential
  • Experience with social media tools such as Hootsuite, content curation tools and digital analytics.
  • Experience producing innovative, high‑quality content for a variety of audiences and channels.
