position, to be filled at the earliest possible date. W2 professorship (m/f/d) in Special Education
in the areas of learning, emotional, and social development. The role emphasizes
educational processes within school and inclusive settings, including special education
assessment, the development of individualized support plans, and the cultivation of
professional relationships within schools and youth services.

the Second State Examination is considered an advantage.

position, to be filled at the earliest possible date. W2 professorship (m/f/d) in Special Education
- We are seeking a candidate with expertise in special or rehabilitation education, particularly
in the areas of learning, emotional, and social development. The role emphasizes
educational processes within school and inclusive settings, including special education
assessment, the development of individualized support plans, and the cultivation of
professional relationships within schools and youth services.
- A degree in special education for teaching at special education schools, including the First
State Examination and a doctorate, or an equivalent qualification, is required; completion of
the Second State Examination is considered an advantage.
- Several years of professional experience as a special education teacher or comparable
experience.
- A research profile focused on learning and/or emotional and social development, including
the assessment and support of children in school settings.
- Additional language skills in French and/or another foreign language are an advantage, as
is proof of international contacts and experience. Your profile
- The goal is to create a new master’s program in special education in cooperation with
Saarland University
- The development of subject-specific teaching modules and the corresponding assessment
formats
- Active involvement in the further development of the School of Social Sciences and the htw
saar
- Willingness to cooperate and work in an interdisciplinary manner across different fields of
study
- Representing your subject area in teaching, research and academic development
- Participation in applied research projects, as well as establishing and maintaining cooperation
with professional practice and research institutes
- Willingness to teach courses in English
- On-site presence at the university in order to provide optimal support for students
