Data Platform Engineers (Kubernetes/OpenShift)

Job Title: Data Platform Engineers (Kubernetes/OpenShift)Pay Rate: $75/HR (H1B-$67 hr on W2)Duration: 12 monthsLocation: Charlotte, NC
We are looking for Data Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/OpenShift) to build and scale a next-generation private cloud data platform supporting enterprise analytics workloads. This role will help deliver a highly scalable, secure, and observable platform supporting over 70 enterprise tenants as part of a major data center modernization initiative.You will work closely with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to design and deploy production-grade Kubernetes/OpenShift-based data platform capabilities.

• Design and implement enterprise private cloud platform using Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Configure compute, networking, storage, and object storage services
• Enable tenant onboarding and multi-tenant resource allocation
• Build observability dashboards, alerts, and monitoring frameworks
• Automate platform provisioning using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps
• Implement platform security, compliance controls, and network policies
• Collaborate across networking, infrastructure, and security teams
• Support data center migration readiness

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 3+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering experience
• Strong Kubernetes/OpenShift expertise
• Strong Linux administration experience
• Terraform, Helm, GitOps (Argo CD preferred)
• Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, BigPanda, PagerDuty, ThousandEyes)
• ServiceNow experience
• Enterprise platform buildout experience
