  • As carpentry leading hand you will be responsible for running a carpentry team to carry out high quality works.
  • Suitable applicants will be very reliable, be self-motivated with the ability to carry out physically demanding work.

Duties:
  • Supervise and coordinate carpentry activities on residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Lead a team of carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry tasks accurately.
  • Coordinate with project managers to schedule work, allocate resources, and meet project deadlines.
  • Provide hands-on carpentry expertise, including framing, roofing, siding, and finishing work, as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, fostering their skill development and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and tools required for carpentry work, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to identify hazards, maintain cleanliness, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to resolve issues and ensure project success.
  • Provide operational direction, leadership, and accountability in the field and office.
  • Track and report work progress and percentage of completion on multiple projects

Schedule:

  • Dubbo, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
