Assistant Accountant (Experienced)

Assistant Accountant (Part-Time to Full-Time)We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our growing accounting and finance team. This role will commence on a part-time basis with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position following a successful 2-month probation period. Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns
• BAS, IAS, and GST preparation and lodgement
• Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
• Financial statement preparation
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Payroll processing and Superannuation compliance
• Assisting with taxation and accounting advisory services
• Liaising with clients and the ATO as required
• Administrative support for accounting and taxation functions

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an accounting or taxation role
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting principles
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
