Senior Game Operations Manager (Pre-Launch & Live Operations Focus)About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Game Operations Manager who genuinely understands games and is deeply curious about how they work — from player motivation and progression systems to live operations and long-term retention.This role is ideal for someone who may not have shipped many games, but thinks like a game operator, actively studies successful games, and wants to take real ownership of bringing a game to market and operating it sustainably.You will join us at a critical pre-launch stage, working closely with the founders, product, and development teams to shape operational systems before launch and fully own live game operations after release.This is not a task-execution role. - Define and own the game operations strategy for launch
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure game systems support:
- Player onboarding and early retention
- Long-term progression and engagement
- Contribute from an operations perspective to:
- F2P systems, incentives, and monetization flows
- Live operations readiness (events, activities, operational tooling)
- Plan and prepare initial live events, activities, and operational content for launch
Post-Launch
- Own and execute live game operations, including:
- In-game events, seasonal content, and long-term activity planning
- Player retention, conversion, monetization, and re-engagement strategies
- Monitor and analyze key game metrics (e.g. retention, conversion rates, ARPU)
- Use data and player behaviour to continuously iterate and improve the game
- Collaborate closely with marketing and community teams to align:
- Product features
- Player-facing content
- Growth initiatives

- Genuinely enjoy playing and analysing games (especially F2P or live service games)
- Actively think about:
- Why certain games retain players
- How progression, rewards, and events influence behaviour
- What makes players come back (or leave)
- Have experience in game operations, live ops, game product, or adjacent roles
- Are comfortable working in early-stage environments with ambiguity
- Take strong ownership and are willing to learn fast where needed
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in:
- Game operations, live ops, game product, or related online product operations
- Strong understanding of at least some of the following:
- F2P monetization and incentive systems
- Player retention mechanics and engagement loops
- Live events and activity design
- KPI-driven decision making
- Ability to think systematically about player behaviour and game systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- A clear passion for games and curiosity to continuously improve the product
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience contributing to the launch or live operation of a game
- Background in mid-core or long-running live service games
- Experience studying or running live events in existing games
- Familiarity with alternative game business models (e.g. Web3, hybrid F2P)
- Experience with international or global player operations
