Position Summary Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Coordinator, Enhanced Technical Support to support the Information and Technology Services department.
The Coordinator, Enhanced Technical Support provides advanced IT support to users with specialized requirements, including senior leaders and executive stakeholders. This role requires the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, install and configure hardware and software, and manage mixed vendor environments with autonomy and expertise. As a technical liaison, the Coordinator, Enhanced Technical Support interprets client needs and delivers optimal solutions, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
A key aspect of this position is the capacity to engage effectively with executive-level clients, demonstrating exceptional professionalism, discretion, and strategic communication. The Coordinator anticipates and understands the unique needs of senior leadership, providing tailored technical guidance and fostering trust through reliable, high-quality service delivery. Success in this role requires broad technical knowledge, excellent relationship management, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including those at the highest levels of the organization.
Starting salary will be approximately from $76,111 to $95,138 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions. Qualifications

- Degree in Computer Science or diploma/certificate in related discipline.
- Five (5) years recent experience relating to Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation Certificate; ITIL Managing Professional preferred.
- Industry-recognized certification in end-user computing or hardware troubleshooting (e.g., CompTIA A+) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Drivers license.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at an executive level
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to deal with others, including members of the public, in a professional and courteous manner.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to operate and understand complex equipment.
- Ability to handle high stress situations over the telephone and/or in person.
- Good creative thinking and conceptualizing abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of complex technical issues and common efficient practices in the information technology industry.
