Job Overview Clinical Fellow in the Department of Paediatric Liver Service at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The post commences September 2026 for a fixed term of six months. The successful applicant must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a medical licence in place by the start date.Responsibilities
Qualifications and ExperienceApplicants should be at Level ST6 or above, or post‑CCT candidates with experience in paediatric hepatology. - Provide day‑to‑day clinical management of inpatients on the Paediatric Hepatology Ward (L50) and participate in outpatient clinics.
- Perform and assist with therapeutic endoscopy, liver biopsy and other interventional procedures as required.
- Manage acute liver failure cases and support patients undergoing liver transplantation.
- Work on the specialty paediatric HST rota and be available for on‑call duties.
- Contribute to medical audit and both local and multi‑centre research projects.
- Assist with discharge planning, letters, treatment initiation/changes, and discussions with families.
- Support out‑of‑hours commitments covering general paediatrics wards and the Acute Children’s Assessment and Treatment Unit.
