About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical leadership and deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to residents within our aged care and retirement village setting.In this role, you will work closely with caregivers, healthcare assistants, doctors, and allied health professionals to ensure residents receive optimal care and support. Requirements
Pay: From $7,200.00 per monthBenefits:
Work Location: In person
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments of residents
- Develop, review, and implement nursing care plans
- Monitor vital signs and overall health status
- Identify and respond promptly to changes in condition
Medication & Treatment Management
- Administer medications safely (including injections where qualified)
- Manage wound care, dressings, and clinical treatments
- Support rehabilitation and ongoing treatment plans
- Ensure safe medication management practices
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records
- Report changes in resident condition to medical staff
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Leadership & Team Coordination
- Supervise and support caregivers and healthcare assistants
- Coordinate with GPs, physiotherapists, and allied health teams
- Delegate care tasks appropriately and safely
- Provide clinical guidance and support to team members
Aged Care Support
- Provide long-term care for elderly residents
- Support residents with dementia, chronic illness, and palliative care needs
- Offer emotional support to residents and families
Health Education
- Educate residents and families on health conditions and care plans
- Promote healthy ageing, safety, and independence
- Support recovery and wellbeing outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
- Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work rostered shifts (including weekends and nights where required)
