Activities Coordinator Eden Care Centre | Mount Eden, Auckland, New ZealandEnhance Wellbeing Through Meaningful EngagementEden Care Centre is seeking a creative and compassionate Activities Coordinator to support the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of residents across rest home, hospital-level, and dementia care settings. This role focuses on delivering engaging programs that improve quality of life and reduce isolation for elderly residents. What You'll Do?Plan and deliver daily and weekly activity programmes for residents.Organise social events, games, music sessions, and group activities.Facilitate cognitive stimulation activities such as memory games, crafts, and reading groups.Coordinate celebrations including birthdays, cultural events, and holidays.Encourage resident participation based on individual abilities and interests.Work closely with caregivers and nursing staff to understand resident needs.Adapt activities for residents with dementia or high-care needs.Maintain activity schedules and documentation records.Support community engagement and outings where appropriate.Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. What We're Looking For:Experience in aged care, recreation, teaching, or community work (preferred).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Creativity and ability to engage elderly residents.Compassionate, patient, and positive attitude.Ability to support residents with dementia and complex care needs.Good organisational and time-management skills.First Aid certificate (preferred).Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
