Consultant General Medicine Respiratory Physician Rotorua Hospital, Health New Zealand Lakes Permanent, Full Time We are seeking a passionate and hand-on General Medicine and Respiratory Physician to join our team on a permanent, full time basis. We are looking to advance and enhance the capabilities of our existing team to support the education and development of our medical registrars and house officers. The successful applicant will have a passion for progression and change, to ensure that the service is meeting their health targets and to provide the diverse community that the Lakes district serves. You will have the opportunity to live in the heart of the North Island of New Zealand, surrounded by breath-taking scenery, opportunities and connection to the land and community, with wold class mountain biking, water sports in over 16 lakes, running and tramping tracks, and a range of outdoor events throughout the year. About the Role The successful applicant will be tasked with inpatient and outpatient respiratory work, and also undertake general medicine ward rounds on a regular basis including weekend and on-call cover, to support service and hospital outputs. This role provides an opportunity to broaden your knowledge through being adaptable and engaged. The role will be divided into an off-ward role where elective work is undertaken, and on-wards managing patients. About the Team/Service/ Location You will join a growing team of physicians who vary in subspecialties including but not limited to Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Palliative Care, and Oncology. The department is looking to grow to meet the needs of the population, and is looking for someone fluid and adaptable.
