Pay: From £8.00 per hour, depending on age and legal minimum wage requirementsIpswich Road Pharmacy is looking for a friendly, reliable and confident Trainee Medicine Counter Assistant to join our community pharmacy team.This is an entry-level, patient-facing role mainly focused on the pharmacy counter, customer service and supporting pharmacy services. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.Duties

• Serving patients and customers at the pharmacy counter
• Helping with prescription collections and patient queries
• Answering phone calls and taking clear messages
• Giving basic over-the-counter medicine advice under pharmacist supervision
• Supporting services such as blood pressure checks, earwax service enquiries/bookings, vaccinations and other pharmacy services
• Keeping the counter, shop floor and healthcare areas clean, tidy and well presented
• Helping with stock control, date checking and shelf organisation
• Supporting the wider pharmacy team when needed

RequirementsThe successful candidate should have:

• Good spoken English
• Strong communication skills
• A friendly, professional and presentable manner
• Confidence speaking to patients
• Good customer service skills
• Good attention to detail
• Reliability, punctuality and willingness to learn
• A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
